While detached to NAS Point Mugu in 1990 when
I was on active duty in the Navy, I painted some watercolors
with my mother.

I painted this painting using a lot of maskit and filling
in the leaves of the ferns one at a time. The maskit allowed me to paint a wash over the painting and build from there.
