When I was on active duty in the Navy I was a Parachute Rigger

F-14's an A-7 and an E-2 aircraft on the deck of the USS
Ranger. In this painting I was trying to capture the intensity of a
bright flight deck by using a minimal palette of black, silver and gold

I was part of Carrier Air Group Thirty (CAG-30) when
I was in VA-304 and VA-305. We were on the Air Craft Carrier Ranger (CV-61)
when the CAG did a flyover. The "November Delta" emblem in the center is the CAG-30
logo which was painted on the tails of each CAG-30 aircraft.
